Dave Smith

Founder

Dave founded D R Smith and Partner Limited back in the late 1970s. He has built up an enviable reputation in the Surrey Hills area for his brilliant workmanship. This is reflected in the fact that much of his work over the years has come from repeat business from builders that he has worked with since he started his business. A knowledgeable, hardworking, reliable and honest chap!

Nolan Mandry

Managing Director

Nolan joined DRS Electrical straight from school in 1997, aged 18 as an Apprentice Electrician. He got to grips with the industry quickly and enjoyed getting stuck in. Nolan has a ‘Can do’ attitude and no job is too big or complicated, he will always find a solution. His real passion is ensuring that he is always ahead of the game. Always learning and looking to the future.
Nolan has done many courses over the years and most recently : Control 4, Draytek and RING.
He loves seeking out all things new to the market and finding ways to diversify DRS Electrical and his desire to make it the number 1 option for anyone looking for the ultimate Electrical Contractor.
Nolan is also first aid trained.

Sam Hoare

Contracts Manager - Small Works Division

Sam joined the firm in 2009. He gained 2 A Levels in Business and started his career in the corporate world working for HSBC and then moving onto International Operations for DHL before training to be an Electrical contractor. He funded himself through college, doing his course in the evenings whilst still working at DHL. He went on to train with a company in London before joining DRS Electrical. Sam started as a trainee with us and has moved his way up the ranks to Improver, Contracts Manager and now heads up our Small Works Division.

Grant Silvester

Contracts Manager

Grant has been an Electricial Contractor for his entire career to date. When Grant finished School he went straight into an Apprenticeship with Brady Renaud. Here he would stay for 20 years. During this time, he worked his way up to running jobs, including large scale refurbishment projects on the Wentworth Estate and St Georges Hill. He then spent the next ten years at Haines Builders in Liphook where he was their Electrical Site Manager.

Grant joined DRS Electrical in 2017 as a Contracts Manager and has proven his worth on some of our biggest jobs!

Dave Watson

Electrical Contractor

Dave started his career as an Apprentice Electrical Contractor for Gaisha Burge where he stayed for many years before moving to Etheringtons. Over 20 years ago he made the leap across to DRS Electrical, and has enjoyed working with us ever since!

Daniel Wood

Electrical Contractor

Daniel started his career in Electrics straight after leaving school. He began an Apprenticeship with F J Hunt and Son where he stayed for 8 years after successfully completing his Apprenticeship. Here he mainly worked on new build hotels and breweries. He went to work with Marlin Electrical for 4 years before joining DRS Electrical. Daniel has been working with us since 2005. He is an excellent Project Manager and highly experienced in high-end new build developments and refurbishments.

Max Williams

Electrical Contractor

Max has his NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 that he completed whilst working as an Apprentice.

A hard working and ambitious electrician, Max has experience in both residential and commercial sites, with some networking experience also.

Max has completed his 17th and 18th Edition.

Max is a key member of our small works division and is reknown for his efficiency in getting the job done in a friendly and tidy manor.

Oliver Hurst

Electrical Contractor

Oliver went straight from school into an Apprenticeship with Marlin Electrical. He stayed there for 8 years following successful completion of his Aprenticeship. From here, he subcontracted for the next four years before joining DRS Electrical in January 2019.

Lewis West

Electrical Contractor

A valued member of the team, Lewis started his Electrical Career with us straight from school as an Apprentice.

After successfully completing his Apprenticeship and becoming a fully qualified Electrical Contractor, he has gone on to complete other further trainings with us and is a Certified Control 4 Automation Programmer.

Luke Mortimer

Electrical Contractor

Luke joined DRS Electrical as an Apprentice Electricial Contractor after moving to us from a previous company where he had started his Apprenticeship.

Luke successfully completed his Apprenticeship with DRS Electrical and is a very valued member of the team.

Adam Jones

Apprentice Electrical Contractor

Adam joined DRS Electrical as an Apprentice Electrical Contractor after he finished college.

He is currently in the middle of his course at Guildford College and is progressing very well and a real asset to the team.

Alex Palmer

Logistics Manager

Alex joined DRS Electrical as Logistics Manager in 2018.

He brings a wealth of knowledge from the electrical wholesale market and has been instrumental in setting up new processes within DRS.

Alex has been on numberous training courses since joining us, including Draytek, Ring XLine, and is also a Certified Control 4 Automation Programmer.

Tracy Golden

Book keeper

Tracy has been the resident Book Keeper at DRS Electrical for over 10 years and keeps everyone in line!

Emma O’Sullivan

Business Manager

Emma joined the team at DRS Electrical in 2018 as Business Manger .

With a background in Marketing, Emma looks after all of our contracts, processes, social media marketing and website.
